In recent months the Ground Up team had been working on an A55 Crags guide with Mike Doyle (key activist behind the development of Penmaen Head); however a decision has been taken to drop this from the current roster of guidebook projects.
“As we worked on the A55 guide it became increasingly obvious that Mike and I had a different vision of how the book, or more specifically the Penmaen Head section, should be produced. After discussions with the other Ground Up directors a decision was taken to drop the guide project and free Mike up to produce his own independent guide.”
“All efforts will now be switched to finishing the forthcoming Slate and Gogarth South guides. Further down the line we will be producing a replacement for the now out of print Rockfax North Wales Limestone guide; this guide will include all the A55 crags, plus the Llandudno Ormes.”
