The Tremadog Festival 2008 went down a storm, with around 80 climbers in attendance. The weather on Saturday hovered on the brink of a wash out, in fact driving over from Llanberis the Ground Up team were met by showery rain just south of Caernarfon. However, in true Tremadog style the rain stayed away from the crags; arriving at Eric’s café we were greeted by a very pleased festival organiser, Mike Raine. With teams all over Craig Bwlch y Moch we picked a route from Mike’s master list of cleaning projects and got stuck in.
Later on, after much fun and frolics on the crag, the festival shifted back to Eric’s Café for some well earned Purple Moose beer and a re-showing of the Slate of the Art slide show and the raffle draw.
The festival was supported by the BMC, V12 Outdoor, DMM, Joe Brown, Hot Aches, Ground Up, the Climbers' Club and Eric's Café.
Information about the 40 routes cleaned over the weekend can be viewed on the
Tremadog wiki.
